June 4 - THURSDAY THURSDAY AFTER-WORK RIDE
Difficulty: 14 to 20 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph pace. Join us every week on our invigorating Thursday evening rides thru the Fairbanks Ranch/Rancho Santa Fe area. Meet at 5:45 pm in the Kinkos/Fedx parking lot at the corner of Del Mar Heights Rd & El Camino Real, 1/2 mi E of I-5. Be prepared for some hills & a brisk pace. Route & leaders vary each week. June 7 - SUNDAY NORTH COUNTY SUNDAY RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. The 1st, 2nd & 5th Sunday of each month, meet at 9 am behind Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Del Mar Highlands Shopping Ctr at the corner of Del Mar Heights Rd & El Camino Real, 1/2 mi E of I-5. June 7 - SUNDAY OUTBACK LOOP EXPRESS
Difficulty: over 35 mi, steep grade(s), 12-14 mph pace. Meet at 8:30 am in the Shopping Center by the Starbucks off Willow Glen Dr & Jamacha Rd in Rancho San Diego. Hill climbing month. We loop Dehesa, Japatul, Lyons Valley and return via Skyline & Jamul. Snack stop at store in Lyons Valley. Two water bottles required and low gears recommended. 44 mi. Note! If inland temps predicted in the 90's, ride may move to Mission Bay start location for cooler ride with equal mileage but less climbing. Call if in doubt. Leader: Bob Mueller, 858-974-4871.

June 14 - SUNDAY DEL MAR TO OCEANSIDE EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty: over 35 mi, moderate hills, 14-16 mph pace. Meet at 8:30 am behind Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Del Mar Highlands Shopping Ctr at the corner of Del Mar Heights Rd & El Camino Real, 1/2 mi E of I-5, for 55 mi through Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, and return along the coast. June 20 - SATURDAY DEL MAR-RANCHO SANTA FE RIDE
Difficulty: over 35 mi, rolling hills, 12-14 mph pace. Meet at 8:30 am behind the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Del Mar Heights Shopping Center at the corner of Del Mar Heights Road & El Camino Real. This circuit ride loops east on the I-56 bicycle path and north to Del Sur Road. We wander through Rancho Santa Fe hills returning via El Camino Real hill. Approximately 42-45 mi with a comfortable pace, restroom stop. Bring your own snack along with two bottles of water. Escape to an early exit for shorter miles or less hill-work is possible. Note: lunch or snacks available at the end of the ride. Approximate return time is 12:30 pm. Leader: Kathleen Mueller, 858-974-4871.

Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. On the 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month, join us for the Sunday Ride starting from Mission Bay. Meet at 9 am in the parking lot immediately north of the Mission Bay Visitor Center. Route & leaders vary each week. Come for the social pace of this ride of about 25 mi. June 21 - SUNDAY LAGUNA - BOULEVARD FIGURE 8 EXPRESS
Difficulty: over 35 mi, steep grade(s), 12-14 mph pace. Meet at 9:00 am behind Major's Coffee Shop in Pine Valley for this 60 mi hilly route that includes a substantial climb of Mount Laguna via Kitchen Creek. There will be limited opportunity to purchase food or fill water bottles so bring plenty of each. Come prepared for summer heat. Carpooling encouraged. June 28 - SUNDAY TIJUANA ESTUARY LOOP
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, basically flat, 10-12 mph pace. From downtown San Diego, let's head to Coronado via Gordy Shields Bridge and The Strand, visiting Tijuana Estuary Nature Preserve en route. If the new bike path through the wetlands is open, we'll scout it out. Expect 30 easy miles. Lunch at a pier-side cafe. Head home at your leisure via the ferry ($3.50). Meet at 9:00 am on Harbor Dr. in front of the SD County Admin Bldg (1600 Pacific Hwy between Ash & Cedar). Assistant: Fern Siegel, 619-583-3261. Leader: Ellen Scott, 858-456-7849.
June 28 - SUNDAY NORTH COUNTY SUNDAY COAST AND HILLS RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph pace. Depending upon the group, we'll do a 25-35 mi bike ride out and back along the coast, tackle the rolling hills of Rancho Santa Fe or head south to climb Mt Soledad. Be flexible; plan on minimal regroups and a snack stop enroute. Bring money and snacks. Meet at UCSD John Muir Dr /Almahurst and Torrey Pines Rd at 9:00 am. From Torrey Pines Rd, follow signs to the UCSD Extension. Sunday parking is free at UCSD. Leader: Karen Westrich, 858-535-1092.
