Parks Committee
Purpose
To work with local, state and federal jurisdictions to promote responsible management of our public park lands.
Example Activities
San Diego River Park - Working with local non-profit organizations, as well as Assemblymember Chris Kehoe's Select Committee on Park and River Restoration, to establish a 52 mile river park from Ocean Beach to Julian.
San Dieguito River Valley Park - Participation in the CAC to the Joint Powers Authority to support development and expansion of this park resource extending from Del Mar to Vulcan Mtn.
Commenting on trails use plans for the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.
Participation in Anza-Borrego State Park Management Plan preparation.
Overseeing open space park systems throughout San Diego and Imperial counties.
Meetings
7:00 P.M. the 4th Monday of each month (Urban Environment Forum) at the chapter office.
