Water Committee

Purpose

  • Our primary mission is to protect and conserve our natural surface water resources and their aquatic life including the coastal waters, bays, estuaries, lagoons, rivers, streams and lakes and our aquifers.

    • Water conservation and efficiency
    • Water recycling
    • Wastewater treatment and disposal
  • Ensuring high water quality by advocating regulatory agencies for strong laws and their enforcement
  • Advocating cleanup of contaminated sediments in bays and estuaries
  • Advocating restoration of water bodies that fail to meet Clean Water Act standards
