Welcome
The Gay and Lesbian Sierrans (GLS) is a group of men and women in the San Diego area who care deeply for the natural environment, locally and globally. As an official activity section of the Sierra Club, we are part of one of the world's largest and most respected conservation organizations. As such, we work with other Sierra Club sections and environmental groups to enjoy, protect and preserve America's magnificent wild lands and precious wildlife.
WHAT DOES GLS OFFER? GLS provides a number of adventures each month, including day hikes, camping trips, picnics, and potlucks with slide shows on fun and educational topics, plus other social activities and conservation projects listed in our monthly newsletter, the Rainbow Sierran. There are lots of opportunities to meet other gay men and women who care about each other and the world they live in.
YOU ARE INVITED! You and your friends are welcome at everything we do, even if you are not yet a member. To get to our activities, our members usually form carpools from San Diego by meeting in Balboa Park. The majority of our hikes are free, except for the cost of shared transportation and park entrance fees, if any.
Please take time to learn more about the Club.
We also maintain an e-mail list of ongoing activities. To
subscribe to the listserve, send an e-mail to: listserv@lists.sierraclub.org
with the words "SUB SANDIEGO-GLS-NEWS YourFirstName YourLastName" in
the body of the message (not the subject line). Replace "YourFirstName YourLastName"

listserve may send an e-mail to other subscribers as long as the message would
