(3-4 people max each group, 3-4 hours each group review of procedures, first come first served)
Friday, March 22nd, 9 am to 3 pm.
Saturday, March 23rd, 9 am to 3 pm.
Interested in becoming a Steward for the Mt. Laguna facility? Here is your chance. This weekend is one of the two times a year that club members can start the training to be a volunteer Steward. The Stewards are the persons authorized to use the facility to host members, their friends and families and groups who want to stay at Mt. Laguna.

Work Party
Friday, March 22nd, 9 am to 3 pm
Saturday, March 23rd, 9 am to 3 pm.
Work party activities:
  • Find place in front/side of Foster Lodge for ~40 bricks with names on them and set in cement.
  • Prep and paint cabin: Friday – scrape, sand, mask cabin. Saturday – paint cabin with paint spray gun.
  • Firewood – cut up downed oak one minute walk uphill on trail from cabin, stack for future use.
  • Add flowmeter on 2-inch PVC water supply pipe on hill across road from Mt. Laguna next to existing shutoff valve (reason – show USFS that piping does not leak)

Please RSVP to if you plan to attend any of the weekend events.

Arrive as early as Thursday evening, for an early start on Friday’s work. Each day we will conclude by 3 pm so you will have time for an afternoon hike before dinner. The Chapter supplies meals and lodging to support volunteer training and clean up activities. Bring your sleeping bag. Tent camping spaces will also be available.
