The Outings Committee consists of volunteers keeping the chapter outings programs running smoothly, including representatives from each activity section. Key contacts are listed at the beginning of the outings section in each Hi Sierran.
Each quarter the Outings Committee publishes a COL Newsletter distributed free of charge to COLs and trainees. The newsletter contains contact information for committee members, meeting minutes, training announcements, and general-interest articles.
Problems with outings leaders should be reported to the chair of the chapter Leadership Review and Safety Committee, Lynn Nebus.
Registered COLs are also encouraged to participate and share outings-related thoughts via an email Listserv. Join by sending an email to LISTSERV@LISTS.SIERRACLUB.ORG. Leave the subject empty but in the body type SUBSCRIBE SANDIEGO-COLS your-first-name your-last-name; for example, "subscribe sandiego-cols Byron Cook". List managers (Byron Cook or Brad Buffett) add you to the list after confirming your COL status with information from the COL Database Coordinator.
