Italian-Style Outings

Italy is to many the birthplace of art, culture, painting, creativity and music. Just the names da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Botticelli, Titian, and Raphael conjure up images of a history of art as old as the world itself.

These great names did not work in groups. They, as almost all artists, focused their concentration and powers of observation as individuals to create the world's greatest art.

In their spirit we have begun an initiative to break the mold of the Swiss-style photo outing where everything is planned to the minute, months ahead of time. Nature does not lend herself to planning.

In our new Italian style outings we have chosen a place and time where we will meet. There is no leader; there may not even be an organizer. Just show up with a clear mind and inhale the spirit of place and create some of your best work yet! Be sure to bring your own ideas and ask lots of questions at the visitors' centers.
