Presidential Greeting

Hasn't our Program Chair Karl Grobl connected us with some great photographers?

Cliff Oliver wowed us with his stunning avian imagery and his high budget equipment. Jim Cline took us south to dazzle us with wondrous desert beauty and inventive architectural lighting magic.

Mark Vanderlinden submerged us in the ocean, then amazed us with super color saturated poppy fields.

We just returned from the Calcite Mine off-road trip in Anza Borrego. What fun the nine of us had. Carlo Terlizzi had a crazy fish-eye lens he let us borrow. Distortion city. We discovered Everett Mehner is a "Back To The Future" scientist. His Range Rover has every imaginable gizmo, and is still dented and scratched from a recent roll over. Fasten your seatbelts!

Join us for the fun at our July 14 Scavenger Hunt in Balboa Park. Details are listed under Activities section. Last year's hunt was our most heavily attended activity.

Congratulations to all the Sierra Photo Section members whose work was selected for display in the Del Mar Fair Exhibition of Photography. Many honors and awards were won not only by our folks, but also by members in the sister photo clubs throughout the County, which clearly demonstrates their value in honing photographic skills. Happy image making, Steve Cirone
