Beginner Ski Lessons

Leader: Craig Denson 858-270-3828 cdenson@cts.com
Assistants: Mike Fry, et muy al.
Grade: E2A

We are postponing the beginner class to Feb. 24 or Mar 10.

Would you like to learn to cross-country ski? This is your opportunity! Many seasoned ski leaders will offer expertise and undivided attention to help you understand the basics of XC skiing. Instruction is geared for rank (and unranked) beginners, alpine skiers escaping lift & binding bondage or rusty granola munchers. Call or email leader for details.

Update on January 15, 2002

Hello all,

The beginner ski lessons on Jan 20 have been tentatively rescheduled. We flew over southern California on our way to Lassen last Friday and saw almost no snow in the mountains. Don't despair, this has happened before and we have been able to ski locally. Ironically, the response to the ski lessons has been in inverse proportion to the amount of snow.

Here's the plan:
We will conduct lessons on the first of the following dates that is feasible:

  • Jan 27
  • Feb 10
  • Feb 24
  • Mar 10

  • These are all Sundays. We'll try to provide as much advance notice as possible, for next week Wednesday will be the cutoff date.

All the other details are the same. To answer some questions people have asked:
If you show up, you're on the trip. There are no advance payments or signups required.
I don't need your phone number if email is acceptable - and email is the much preferred communication method.
Small children, under about 13, are probably not good to have along unless there is a responsible person to care for them. We would need parents to accompany minor children.

Thanks - and start those snow dances,
    Craig
