2003-2004 Introduction
We have outstanding meeting programs and ski outings planned for the 2003-2004 season. Note that the February Yosemite bus trip and Fred's Pear Lake Ski Hut trip have early sign up deadlines. Alvin Walter and Afra Roet will be presenting slides and images of their amazing trips at our monthly meetings.
The days are getting shorter, and there is a delicious coolness in the air. Our only Southern California ski shop, Norpine, will open November 1st but you can see and order Jim Foxworthy's offerings on his web site. The long-range weather forecasts show a normal winter for the west. No El Nino or La Nina. Normal for us is good. See you on the snow. Mike Fry, Ski Section Chair.
