ski if there is snow, hike if there isn't. Alpine skiers can buy a lift ticket for
manmade snow at
Mammoth Mountain. Trip limited to 16.

Come join us to bring in the new year at
Bear Valley where we will
be staying in condos at the ski area and enjoying 3 full days of
both cross country, and downhill ski options. Bear Valley is
located in the Sierras between Yosemite and Tahoe in Alpine County. The area has an extensive track system as well as back country and telemark opportunities, so that skiers can find their niche at all levels of interest and ability. We will celebrate the New Year with a progressive dinner
which has been a success in previous years. Beginners as well as snow shoers are welcome.

This winter
wonderland getaway trip is for all levels of skiers as well as
non-skiers. In addition to its spectacular landscape, Yosemite offers
many ways to spend your time including photography, nature walks,
moonlit hikes, snow shoeing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, brunch at
the famous Ahwahnee Hotel, museums, ice skating, shopping and much
more. The trip cost includes bus transportation, first night stay in
Oakhurst, three nights at The Yosemite Lodge, and ski instruction.
Per person cost is $745 (1 per room), $480 (two per room), or $410 (3 per room)
with two beds per room. Meals and ski rentals are not included.
We will depart on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and return on Monday at around
9:00 p.m. Send a $50 deposit (payable to Sierra Club) with your room

The spacious
Montecito-Sequoia Lodge, based at 7500’ elevation, provides a
breathtaking view of the snow capped peaks of the Great Western Divide and
is set amid large and imposing fir and pine trees. Some of California’s
most
scenic trails begin at the steps of the lodge.
INCLUDES:
- Group lodging in your own bed (double occupancy, lodge room, private bath) Friday,
Saturday & Sunday nights and all meals, Friday dinner through Monday breakfast
(no discount for missing meals)
- Back County ski touring for 2 groups of advanced beginners (or better),
with experienced Sierra Club leaders and track or backcountry skiing (including lessons).
Independent skiing is always available.
- Cost also includes a profit for the X/C Ski Section making these trips possible.
- Use of hot tub and groomed ski tracks
- Gratuity (for lodge staff)

Full Refund: 1. We cancel the trip or 2. The leader determines you
shouldn't be on the trip or 3. You find your own replacement and they
reimburse you.
Partial Refund: 1. We find your replacement and keep only your deposit
or 2. We can't replace you, but we get a refund (or are not charged) by
our providers because of your absence. You get back whatever we get
back.
